RACINE - A 25-year-old man was found murdered, of an apparent shooting, at 3501 Douglas Avenue. Racine Police and fire rescue pronounced the victim dead around 11:45 p.m. that evening.
The victim has been identified as Daniel R. Mayfield of 3501 Douglas Avenue, Racine.
Racine detectives tell FOX 6 News the initial investigation indicates a suspect forced his way into an apartment and shot the victim.
A roommate, armed with a gun, shot the suspect who then fled the scene. Racine Police detectives are asking the public’s help with any additional information they may have about this crime.
